Simon is on my read in the near future list because I keep hearing so much about it! I read The Gargoyle when it came out on a recommendation. It's not a book that I would've read on my own.
ReplyDeleteMy Top Ten
I loved The Gargoyle but it is definitely outside of my normal reading.
DeleteGreat list! I also read Hunger Games a little before I was really aware of the hype. I also have a tendency to associate books I read with the places I read them, especially if it's while I'm travelling somewhere. I don't remember where I read Hunger Games, mind you, but I very vividly remember buying it at the airport in Singapore. :)
ReplyDeleteI also like to read books about the place that I am traveling while I am there so that might have something to do with it...
DeleteSimon and the Hunger Games are such great books. I am so excited to see someone else who has read the Gargoyle!! I loved that book.
ReplyDeleteI still haven't read Simon, it's probably been the most recommended book to me and I see all of the good reviews but once I'm actually holding it in my hands I put it off to read other things that are more on my mind in the moment. I'm to the point where I'm convinced I'm going to be extremely disappointed because i've built it up so much in my head.
